Spring Book Fair

Come one, come all to the Spring Book which starts Tuesday May 20th and ends May 27th. We have a wide variety of books and resources available.

There's something for everyone at this years book fair. Our goal is to raise $6,755 which will help our media center purchase more books.

Elementary Summer Reading Information

2014 Summer reading
This summer elementary school students will FIZZ, BOOM, READ by reading in myOn Reader, axis360 ebooks, and books from the Public Library. Students can enter the myON Summer Reading Challenge to win weekly prizes or even the grand prize, a mini-ipad.

Mrs. Dosal wins Hillsborough PTA Elementary Principal of the Year!

On May 13, 2014, Grady Principal, Kristine Dosal, was awarded the Hillsborough County PTA Elementary School Principal of the Year Award for 2013-2014. In addition to having our school win the Principal of the Year Award, Grady Elementary PTA won the following awards: Volunteer Hours Award, Grandparent Gold Membership Award, Golden Participation Award and Golden Early Bird Award.

We have several events planned to honor our teachers and staff and we would like you and your child’s help to make it unforgettable. Also, please don't forget the front office, custodial and cafeteria teams.

PTA Update: Car Magnets

Magnets
We have excellent news. We have developed a new non-peel car magnet with Grady’s new logo and website name. The magnets are 4 inches by 6 inches and oval. They are guaranteed not to peel by Teamwork Imprinted Sportswear (they are a silkscreen, painted-on magnet as opposed to a sticker on top of a magnet).

Mr. Florio is excited about showcasing the Grady students in a  "Broadway Beat" musical on May 14th, 2014.

Featuring: Food Trucks offering grilled cheese, hot dogs and ice pops

Silent auction of 4 Disney Park Hopper passes

Silent Auction or raffle of prizes from at least 38 donors including: SeaWorld, Aquatica, the Tampa
Bay Rays, Lowry Park Zoo, Dinosaur World and other attractions;

Raffles of baskets of goodies from Starbucks, Home Depot and Lush Cosmetics and other retailers

Silent auction of raffle of gift cards to Mitchell’s Carrabba’s, Olive Garden, Beef O’Brady’s and
other restaurants; and so many more items.

Raffle tickets are $1 each or 15 tickets for $10.
