Grady PTA supports End 68 Hours of Hunger’s upcoming Tampa Bay Food Truck Rally and Silent Auction. 68 Hours of Hunger provides weekend meals to food insecure children. Right now, they are feeding more than 140 children a week. Let’s support their good works and enjoy some tasty treats, too! Thank you for supporting Grady PTA’s friends.

Please join us at the Tampa Bay Food Truck Rally, Sunday, November 5, from 11 am to 2 pm at Hyde Park Presbyterian Church, 1309 W. Swann Ave., Tampa, FL 33606. There will be food trucks for all tastes and lots of family fun. There is no charge to attend, but food donations of the kind listed below are greatly appreciated.

Food Items to Donate: Please be sure the food has not expired. No glass please. Please remember that many of the children carry their own food home and bigger is not better! Thank you!!

Canned chicken or tuna
Canned chili or soups
Canned pasta
Protein Bars
Cereal or low sugar instant oatmeal
Crackers
Squeezeable Jelly
Peanut butter or other “butters”
Canned fruit or veggies
Fruit “cups”
Pasta or rice (no larger than 1 lb.)
Canned spaghetti sauce—no glass
Canned black beans
Macaroni and cheese

This is a great chance to get to know other Grady moms. Reservations are not necessary, but are appreciated. Hello and welcome back to school! We are looking forward to another incredible year at Grady Elementary!

We want to thank everyone who has already joined the PTA – we really appreciate it! If you haven’t joined, please fill out the form at https://gradytigers.org/membership-form or download the printable form and turn in with payment to your child’s teacher. The PTA is lobbying on behalf of our children and there is strength in numbers.

• September 26th – Chick-fil-A art night – We are in need of volunteers to help with the setup/breakdown. Please sign up here.
• September 28th - HCSO Deputy Charity Arthur speaks to Grady parents about internet safety at 6 pm in the media center

We are looking for volunteers to participate on the following committees:
• Fall Festival
• Tiger Trek
• Yearbook

To volunteer at school, you must complete the background check first: Background Check Application for Volunteers. Click on the word “Apply” on the left side of the page and fill out the forms (you will need your driver's license number). This background check application is separate from any application to volunteer at Grady. When you do volunteer at Grady, make sure you bring your driver’s license and sign into the school’s computer and log your hours. This is for security and it helps our school because Grady can win awards in connection with the number of volunteers and volunteer hours logged by the school.
