Calling all Grady Moms! Want a fun-filled night off and a chance to meet other Grady Moms? The Mom’s Night Out is set for Thursday, October 9, 2014, starting at around 6:30 pm and ending around 9:30 pm. We hope to see you there. Hillsborough County Schools Superintendent, MaryEllen Elia, spoke with regard to the Florida Standards at Grady Elementary on September 8, 2014. This well-attended event featured both a presentation on the purpose of the standards and a question and answer session with Superintendent Elia. Grady Elementary thanks Superintendent Elia for her visit to our school.

Superintendent Elia is holding a Parent Information Meeting on the new Florida Standards on Monday, September 8 at 7 pm at Grady Elementary. This meeting will show parents how the new standards will change what their children will be doing in the classroom. The Florida Standards stress critical thinking and require students to backup their answers with evidence from textbooks and other materials.

The Fall Fundraiser now includes a new catalog. The deadline to return orders for the Fall Fundraiser is now Monday, September 15. Family Night will take place at Yogurtology on September 17.
