PTA Updates

Please help set up chairs for the Winter Concert tomorrow at 8 am.  It won’t take long to set up the chairs, so please come to the Pavilion tomorrow at 8 am to help.

Bakers and buyers of sweet treats, please bring in baked goods (individually wrapped if possible) to the front office between 7:30 am and 2:15 pm tomorrow for use in our donation-only bake sale at the Winter Concert.

Are you looking for ideas for teacher gifts?  Why wonder when you can know what your children’s teachers like.  Please check out teacher profiles at Grady PTA’s website: http://gradytigers.org/grades.

The Winter Concert starts tomorrow night at 6 pm.  There will be a short PTA general meeting at 5:45 pm under the Pavilion.  At the meeting, we will ratify the gifting of the perimeter fence to the school and establish a $10,000.00 budget to pay for upgraded technology at the school.

The Tropicana Speech Contest was held for the 4th and 5th grade students with 4th grade student Faith House placing 1st, Maggie Warren 2nd, and Ava Green 3rd place.  In 5th grade, Taylor Hammond received 1st place, Alex Chagin was 2nd, and Landon Roberts earned 3rd place honors.

The 2nd annual Spelling Bee was held this morning at Grady Elementary School.  Emily Azevedo correctly spelled the word "Sanskrit" to take the first place trophy, followed by Daniel Kumm in 2nd place, and Nicole Sapienza in 3rd.  To see pictures of today’s Spelling Bee, click here:  Spelling Bee Pictures.  Parents who took pictures, please email them to [email protected] to have them added to our photo gallery on the website.

Grady PTA has made over $1,000 from the Snowflake Garden, $125 from Beef O’Brady’s for the recent family night, and $9 from Amazon Smile.  Thanks to all of you who helped to raise these funds.  If you are using Amazon for holiday shopping, please consider using Amazon Smile to ensure a portion of your purchase benefits Grady PTA.  To use Amazon Smile for Grady PTA, please click here: https://smile.amazon.com/ch/23-7102322.
