Tiger Talk Update 3.9.18

March 9, 2018

Great news - we raised over $11,300.00 to help support the American Heart Association this year!!  We surpassed our goal by over $5,000 and made it the best record breaking year so far. The Top Student was Leila Goodwin in Mrs. Horne's 1st Grade class.  Ms. Murrell says thank you to all of the PTA and Parent Volunteers for their support.  I could not have done it without them.  Thank you so much!

Here are some important upcoming dates to note:

  • 3/12-16 – Spring Break (No School)
  • 3/22 – Spring Pictures – Have your child wear bright colored clothes (it is a non-uniform school day)
  • 3/30 – Good Friday (No School)
  • 4/11 – Spring Musical

Grady Auction Hoedown Update

We have amazing news – we finished collecting from our auction winners and we have raised $18,000 from the auction, before expenses!! We are still finalizing expenses and will be able to let you know how many computers we are able to purchase as a result of your generosity! Thanks again to everyone who participated in our inaugural Auction Night!

Also, one of our parents lost a cowboy hat at the auction. Please contact me if you find it.

Plant High Drumline Performance

Families, please come and watch the Plant High School Drumline perform on March 28. It’s a fun event for the kids – an open practice showcasing the upcoming percussion competition performance and then drumline cadences.  Kids will get to interact with the drumline too.  The admission price is only $5 to help defray the costs of the drumline’s competition season.  Please help support the Plant High Drumline.  The drumline is battling for first place in the state in its class.  http://gradytigers.org/2018/3/watch-the-plant-drumline-on-march-28
