AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM MUSIC TEACHER STEVEN FLORIO ABOUT THE WINTER CONCERT

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

Our Winter Concert is quickly approaching! The date of the concert is Thursday, December 1!

This note contains some reminders for you and your child, since we will be out of school next week for Thanksgiving Break.

All Chorus Students in grades 1-5 will be in school uniform: Navy tops and Khaki bottoms. This information was on the permission slip that was signed and returned.

  • Long sleeve shirts under a navy t-shirt, pants and leggings/tights under girl’s dresses are recommended for cooler weather.
  • Please watch the weather approaching the concert. If it gets colder, jacks and sweaters will be needed. Please try to remain in the Navy and Khaki color scheme.

All Chorus Students in Grades 1-5 will meet in the Music Room 26, between 5:15 and 5:45p.m. on December 1.

The concert will start promptly at 6 p.m., and run roughly about 30-minutes.

At the end of the concert I will announce which classroom First and Second Grade Chorus Students will be dismissed from.

  • I will then dismiss the Third, Fourth, and Fifth grade Chorus Students from the stage, one grade at a time.
  • Please be patient, I will try my utmost to make it a quick and efficient process.

Thank you for all of your support with this year’s concert! I really believe the strides the students are making in the before school rehearsals are beneficial, and provide focused instruction.

Thank you for altering your already busy schedules to get your sons and daughters to these rehearsals.

Yours in music,

 Steven Florio, Music Specialist
