Walk to school the first Wednesday of each month and win prizes for your class!

Dates for 2026-2027:

• Ocotber 7th
• November 4th
• December 2nd
• January 13th
• February 3rd
• March 3rd

Here’s what you do:

1. Walk (or bike! or scooter!) to school on the first Wednesday of the month!
2. Check in with volunteers by the corner of Grady and Morrison Ave. from 7:10 to 7:35 am. Pick up a treat on your way to class. Your class will win a prize for the most students checked in!

Why Walk to School?

• It’s healthy for your body and mind to start the day with some outdoor exercise.
• It’s fun! Enjoy some time getting to know your neighbors.
• It’s safer walking in a group.
• It helps our neighborhood ask for better sidewalks and crosswalks!

Grady Elementary’s new “Walk to School Wednesday” program is a Sidewalk Stompers partnership. Sidewalk Stompers is an award-winning effort to increase the number of children walking to school.
