Choir for 3rd-5th

Grady Elementary’s Chorus is open to all students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. Rehearsals are held on Monday afternoons, right after school, for one hour beginning on September 9th. We will have rehearsals on all of these Mondays: September 9, 16, 23, 30, October 7, 14*, 21*, 28*, November 4*, 18*, December 2 *, 9* (Concert 12th), 16*, January 13, 27, February 3, 17, 24, March 9 (Concert 12th). All rehearsals on Early Release Days will dismiss from the front of the school at 2:15. On Normal Release Mondays (those with an *), dismissal will be at 3:15.

Teaching the fundamentals and the fun of basketball to our youth is an extremely important goal of ours. Our programs provide the instruction of basic basketball skills as well as developing advanced players.

Traditional Art & Clay Club for K-5th

This club combines traditional/contemporary art on cavas and clay modeling.  It is a wonderful opportunity to learn drawing/painting techniques, and clay hand-building skills and create original works of art, including canvas paintings, watercolors, cups, jewelry boxes, pendants, wall art, and much more.  

We will learn these styles: Disney, Realism, Pokemons, Kawaii (cute) ART!!

Miss Alicia was born in Spain surrounded by art. A professional artist herself, Miss Alicia holds a BS in Psychology and Art Therapy. She graduated from Harvard with a Master’s degree and her thesis focused on the benefits of the arts in education. Miss Alicia teaches Art to kids at her studio in Tampa.

Girls Empowered Series for K - 5th Grade Girls

Your girls will LOVE our workshop series and everything about Girls With Confidence.  In our Girls Empowered Series we will cover a variety of topics that all focus on increasing confidence and self-esteem. Each class follows the same structure where we have a group discussion on the topic of the week, play games and/or activities, and work on a craft or artwork project. This series will also educate your girls about women in history who have been exceptional role models for each of these topics.

Robotics for 1st-5th

Members of the FunWithBots Robotics Club have an opportunity to learn Coding, Mechanical and Structural Engineering, troubleshooting, and critical thinking skills all while having a TON of FUN! Students learn important STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) concepts that can help reinforce their academic progress. Club members will use LEGO® WEDO® and Mindstorms NXT and EV3® and other electronic tools to build robots and machines based on their real world interests and imagination. Flying Monkeys? Battle Bots? Roller Coasters? Your child's imagination is our only limit! Curriculum is developmentally appropriate to individual students based upon their personal prior knowledge.
